Dr. Tatyana “Tanya” Spektor specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of corneal disease, as well as cataract surgery and comprehensive eye care. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in molecular biology. She then went on to receive her medical degree at Loyola University in Chicago, graduating with honors in research. Afterwards, she completed her residency at Rush University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Spektor then pursued a cornea and anterior segment fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Dr. Spektor is a board-certified ophthalmologist and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the Cornea Society. Her research is published in numerous medical journals and she has presented at national conferences. She feels privileged to be able to spend her time helping others improve and regain their vision.
